15. Business Financing Referral and Application-Support Services
Northsolv provides information, referral, and limited application-support services for business-purpose financing. Financing categories may include business term loans, equipment financing, working-capital financing, business lines of credit, SBA financing, and other commercial or business-purpose funding products offered by participating financing providers.
Northsolv acts as an independent referral partner to participating banks, lenders, financing companies, and financing marketplaces. Northsolv is not a bank, lender, creditor, loan underwriter, or issuer of any financing product. Northsolv does not extend credit, fund transactions, make credit decisions, or establish the final rates, fees, repayment terms, eligibility requirements, collateral requirements, personal-guaranty requirements, or other conditions of a financing offer.
Northsolv may help clients identify general business-financing categories corresponding to their stated funding purpose, provide factual program information supplied or approved by participating financing providers, explain general application requirements, and connect clients with a participating provider or provider-controlled application process.
When a client submits information through an application or referral form hosted or controlled by a participating financing provider, that information is submitted directly to and collected by the provider. When a client separately provides information to Northsolv for transmission to a provider, Northsolv will handle and transmit that information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the requirements of the applicable referral program.
As permitted by the applicable provider’s referral program and applicable law, Northsolv may assist with administrative aspects of an application, enter client information into a provider-controlled application when authorized, and transmit information or documentation requested by the provider. Northsolv does not independently underwrite applications, prepare a financing provider’s loan documents, negotiate specific financing terms, make representations beyond information supplied or approved by the provider, or represent that it has authority to bind any financing provider.
A participating financing provider may independently determine that collateral is required for a business-purpose financing transaction, including a lien on real property. Northsolv does not determine collateral requirements. When a provider determines that real property will secure a transaction, the provider is solely responsible for evaluating the property, determining collateral requirements, discussing and establishing the secured-loan terms, obtaining property-related documentation, and preparing the applicable financing and security agreements. Northsolv does not negotiate, arrange, or provide collateral-related advice concerning real-property-secured financing.
Northsolv may occasionally introduce an existing business contact who independently expresses a need for commercial real-estate or investment-property financing to a participating financing provider. In those circumstances, Northsolv’s role is limited to introducing the parties and providing factual information supplied or approved by the provider. Northsolv does not represent the borrower or lender, negotiate the transaction, or perform activities requiring a California real-estate or mortgage-loan-originator license.
Northsolv’s services are limited to business-purpose financing. Northsolv does not offer, arrange, or originate consumer-purpose residential mortgage loans.
By submitting an inquiry, application, or supporting information through Northsolv, a client authorizes Northsolv to transmit that information to participating financing providers for the purpose of evaluating the client’s financing request. A participating provider may evaluate the request directly or introduce it to another financing provider within its network. Clients are responsible for ensuring that all information and supporting documentation they provide is accurate, complete, and not misleading.
All applications are independently reviewed and underwritten by the applicable financing provider. Any approval, denial, funding decision, financing amount, interest rate, factor rate, fee, repayment obligation, collateral requirement, personal-guaranty requirement, or other financing term is determined solely by that provider.
Northsolv does not guarantee that a client will qualify for, receive, or accept financing. Any preliminary discussion, estimate, indication of eligibility, program description, or proposed financing scenario communicated by Northsolv is informational only and does not constitute an approval, commitment to lend, or binding financing offer. A financing transaction becomes binding only when the client and the applicable financing provider execute the provider’s final agreements.
Clients are responsible for reviewing all financing disclosures and agreements before accepting an offer. The financing provider’s final written documents control over any prior estimate, summary, discussion, program description, or communication from Northsolv.
Northsolv does not charge clients a fee for referring financing opportunities through its participating referral programs. Northsolv may receive compensation from a financing provider when a referred transaction is completed, where permitted by applicable law. Compensation and material financial relationships will be disclosed when required by applicable law or the applicable financing program.
